Parkville Symphonic Band Spring Concert to Benefit FOPAS

The Parkville Symphonic Band spring concert will be presented on Sunday afternoon, April 8, at 3:00 p.m. The concert will be at the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel on the Park University campus in Parkville, Missouri. Music will feature The Roman Carnival Overture by Hector Berlioz and the band classic, Festivo by Vaclav Nelhybel. Also featured will be a delightful medley of movie themes, Hooray for Hollywood! arranged by Warren Barker. See how many of the themes you can recognize in this trip down memory lane. Other selections will include Don’t Rain on my Parade, a trombone section feature entitled Miss Trombone, and more. We invite you to join us for this exciting and fun-filled concert.

Admittance to the concert is free, with freewill donations accepted for the Friends Of Parkville Animal Shelter (FOPAS), an all-volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for abandoned and stray dogs and cats from the southern Platte County area. Over the last 12 years. FOPAS has found permanent adopting families for 2,589 dogs and 1,032 cats. We hope you will join us in supporting this fine local organization (see Parkvilleshelter.com).
